WTH happened to 2018?

If you're anything like me you just realized that 2018 is almost over and it made a whizzing sound as it whipped by! So I just wanted to take a minute and think about what happened this year--if anything...LOL!

Well, my "baby" turned 24 in August - that's kind of big. I still can't believe it, but I'm coping as any Mom does. :) Hey, he's a great kid, he has a job and goes to school. He's going into an industry that will make him a great living and makes him very happy, and he's got a good head on his shoulders. So all in all, it looks like I didn't screw him up too badly. Not for lack of trying, I'm sure. Snerk!

I didn't have any new releases this year but I got the rights back to my Succubus Books and have refreshed them inside and out, and Seducing the Succubus will go on pre order for re-release in Mid December. Stay tuned to my newsletter, Facebook, and Twitter for more details on that.

I'm working on a new book for my agent and I took a couple of really terrific writer promotions classes.

My wonderful husband and I took a vacation up to the Grand Canyon and rode the Grand Canyon Railroad and had a wonderful little romantic get away. And for our 15th Wedding Anniversary, we had a great dinner at Benihana's and cuddled on the couch---perfect!

Oh, and back in January I had that cranioplasty to remove the clips holding on the bone flap from the AVM rupture craniotomy from 8 years ago. The screws were backing out and starting to hurt! OUCH!!! And besides, the bone has started to grow back together anyway, so I no longer needed them!

We lost our beautiful Maine Coon baby Rocky to kidney failure :( which broke our hearts and still does today when we think about him.

But Sketch and Taz came to live with us and be spoiled human owners along with Nox.

I signed books at the Glendale Chocolate Affaire like I always do in February and drank too much chocolate lemonade!

And I'm enjoying my last handful of days of being 49 before falling over into the big Five-Oh. Although I'm not too worried about it. Other than 21, when I could drink legally, no age has really felt different from all the rest. I think that's the secret they never tell you. They really ARE just all numbers. It's how you feel about them that matters. And honestly, I don't care. Personally, I'm aiming for 104 and I'll see how things go. Hey, they're making scientific advances all the time. 104 may be the new 30 by the time I get there!!

SO.......50 - here I come!! Look out :)

It may not look like much on paper, but it was a very full year with our normal health stuff, family stuff, writing, and just the daily business of living and being happy.

I'm thankful for 2018 and for all the great gifts that 2019 is going to bring as well. I know this sounds like more of a New Years post and you might get another one then, but it was just on my mind today when I realized how close to the end of the year we are already! Hell, I just got used to writing 2017 when it turned 2018, and now I just got used to writing 2018 and it's going to change again. But then we don't really WRITE the date much anymore, do we? LOL.

Until next time...

Tina/Cassie
